Did some playing around last night, trying to pull in the Wordpress Menus and header into my existing Static pages. Some success. The side menu shows up okay, although the font seems to change on me. Got the header mostly working, although it isn’t extending across the full width of the screen like I’d like it to and something is causing the main text area of some of the pages to extend past the right side of the browser screen in Explorer, but not FireFox.
Some of the commands that I think should have worked didn’t. get_sidebar() works okay, but get_header() doesn’t. Had to cludge some code together to pull in the header. It can be seen at http://www.brentsbasement.com/test.php

The live site www.icewebring.comhas now been updated, with some difficulty. I will continue to use this site to test out any major changes, but most of the work will now be done on the other site.

Updated the Product list pages yesterday so they all have the headers and menus. Figured out how to get the contact and errata pages looking much better when used as WordPress pages. Including footer.php still seems to cause strange things to happen with them though, I’ve taken it out of those two pages for now.

I think my focus now will be to make sure all the pages have been properly converted to php format and all the links were properly updated. Then I can copy all the php files to the live icewebring site and set the .htaccess to redirect all links to .shtml pages to the .php pages. I won’t immediately turn on WordPress since I’m still not 100% convinced that I’m going to be able to do what I want with it.

Ran an update on the individual product pages to get the header, footer, and side menu working. Need to check and verify that it actually worked properly for all the pages. I also noticed at least one product list page (Merp 1st Edition) is still missing the headers etc.
